Fishing Season
All year round!
The best time for Tuna is the Spring, with April being recognised as the best month for Tuna, with various sub-species arriving throughout the summer. Runs of Marlin are generally in the summer with July having the best runs of Marlin for many years.
Sea Fly Fishing
Skipper John loves Fly Fishing, we are therefore developing Sea Fly Fishing around Tenerife. Recently we had a fantastic day fly fishing, catching a beautiful Dorado (Dolphin Fish) estimated at 9 kg which was released and a number of smaller fish. It was a fantastic day, the bait fish were jumping, mackerel everywhere and Dorado swimming around the boat.
Spinning & Popping
Spinning is very productive in Tenerife, a favourite with the locals looking to catch Sea Bass, Dorado (Sea Bream) and the abundant fish on the reefs and rocky coast.
Vertical Jigging
Vertical Jigging is rather new to Tenerife and has been found to be a very good method of reaching the larger fish. A good echo sounder is a must and the one on our RIB is extremely good!

Our Boat
Our boat is a an Alson 6.6m Category "B" luxury RIB with 140 HP 4 stroke Suzuki. The vessel is fully fitted out to commercial safety standards and holds the local commercial licence for six persons and up to 12 miles offshore. Being a RIB we can trailer it to new locations and even fish other islands. When Sea Fly Fishing we only allow two persons to fish at one time and as a rule take a maximum of 4 persons out fishing.
World Records
John Williams who runs the Fishing is not only a highly qualified Skipper and Powerboat Instructor & Guide. In 2005 whilst fishing in a local competition he caught a World Record Weever Fish of 3 lbs 13 oz, thats a lot of poisonous spines! The W.R. Certificate is hanging on the wall of Casa Vistas de Mar. In 2006, one of our clients caught a World Record Lizard Fish and we equalled the 33 Kg World Record for aTope. We get our share of World Class Fish in Tenerife and John believes that a number of other World Records are ready to be broken in Tenerife waters.
